Last week, we hosted a special swimwear after breast cancer fitting session at Triumph in Leidschendam, designed especially for women who have undergone breast surgery and are missing a breast. The warm welcome from store manager Bianca—who even baked a delicious apple pie—set a cozy and inviting atmosphere from the start.

What immediately caught our eye was the strong presence of ProudBreast in the store, with a striking poster and sticker in the window highlighting our collaboration.

We brought along our latest swim Qup textile prostheses: the Aqua Marina and the Aqua Lila. Which perfect matches would we discover today?

Swimwear After Breast Cancer: Fitting with a Personal Story

During this fitting session, two women from our community joined us to try on lingerie without breasts—specially designed to wear with their Qups prostheses. It was a meaningful experience, as they searched for swimwear that made them feel both comfortable and confident.

Marthe openly shared that she hadn’t bought lingerie in over two years. She finds it difficult and nerve-wracking, yet at the same time, she cares less about it now. She mainly wears it for herself, but also for those around her—so it’s not noticeable that a breast is missing.

Vera, on the other hand, wears her Qups more often in regular lingerie, for example from Livera, and was very curious about the options at Triumph. Together, we discovered some beautiful swimwear pieces.

The best Triumph swimwear for women after breast surgery

1. Summer Allure W Underwired Bikini (€56) – A Safe and Stylish Choice

Vera was immediately drawn to this cheerful bikini. It fit perfectly right away, and the great thing is that the minimizer bra is available in multiple colors. Even better: Triumph also offers matching beachwear, such as long pants, shorts, and flowy tops—perfect for strolling the beach in style!

Thanks to the underwire, the bikini offers firm support, and the Qup sits neatly in the cup—no gaping or shifting. Vera doesn’t mind underwires, and she often sews a little pocket into her lingerie to prevent any movement, so she can enjoy the sun without worries.

Perfect to pair with the Aqua Marina Qup.

2. Midnight Swim OP Swimsuit with Pockets (€70) – Ideal swimwear after breast cancer

Marthe was immediately drawn to this asymmetrical swimsuit. It features built-in pockets with small pads, which can easily be replaced with Qups for a perfect fit. The design is especially suitable for women who wear a Qup on the left side, as the swimsuit is cut higher on that side. For Marthe, this also meant that her higher chemo marks were covered. Although she’s not ashamed of them, she appreciated how well the swimsuit fit her body.

This swimsuit was less suitable for Vera, who wears her Qup on the right side.

Beautifully paired with the Aqua Marina Qup, or for a splash of extra color, the Aqua Lila Qup.

3. Summer Twist DP Bikini (€56) – A Colorful Option for Qups

Looking for more color? This bright pink bikini was a fun and unexpected choice! Also available in blue and black—plenty of options to choose from. At first glance, the bandeau shape seemed a bit low, but once tried on, it turned out to fit perfectly. The Qup is well-covered, and the higher center of the bikini provides good support. And good to know: this model is completely wire-free.

Bonus: The straps are removable, giving you multiple styling options—wear it as a halter, a bandeau, or with both shoulder straps. Vera could already picture herself enjoying the sunshine in this cheerful look, paired with the Aqua Lila Qups.

4. Summer Twist Bandeau Swimsuit (€74) – Versatile Swimwear After Breast Surgery

This bikini also comes in an elegant swimsuit version, available in multiple colors. Marthe and Vera tried it in black. The bandeau style with a ring detail in the center adds just the right touch of flair. Once again, the straps are removable, allowing you to choose your preferred way to wear it.

Perfectly paired with the Aqua Marina Qup for a classic look, or with the Aqua Lila Qup for a playful touch.

An Unexpected Gift: Shape Smart P Bra (€60) – Comfortable Lingerie After Breast Cancer

Of course, we couldn’t resist taking a further look around the store. Clary had brought not only the latest Aqua Lila Qup, but also the Blossom Qup. And to our surprise, our favorite bra model was now available in a matching color!

This bra has been a top favorite in previous fitting sessions: wire-free, with a soft, semi-sheer panel that fits beautifully against the sternum. The gentle materials offer ultimate wearing comfort. A perfect addition to our swimwear collection and an ideal choice for women looking for soft, supportive lingerie after breast surgery.

A Successful Day

It was an inspiring and heartwarming fitting session, full of beautiful discoveries and meaningful conversations. It’s wonderful to see how the right swimwear is not only practical, but also boosts confidence and brings joy. We’re already looking forward to the next session!

The experience was also incredibly valuable for store manager Bianca. Now that she has seen firsthand which combinations work best, she can offer even better advice to women. This valuable insight is also being shared with other Triumph store managers in the Netherlands and Belgium, so that more and more women can be well-informed about the possibilities with Qups.
