After an extensive research and development process, Dutch founders Clary Scheres and Suzanne Kemps were able to launch ProudBreast B.V. in April 2019. set up. As a social enterprise, we mainly focus on creating impact. From the beginning, our goal was to develop a product together from the target group (women without breasts); a comfortable breast prosthesis. Listening and innovating, that is our strength. We listen in our community during activities and with research, we innovate in our products.

INCLUSIVITY

Offering quality of life means not just being comfortable with yourself, but also being comfortable in society. Shopping in normal shops and choose a wide variety of lingerie. Like everybody else.

SUSTAINABLE

What we do, we do with people and nature in mind. We produce locally, we know which materials we are working with, we do not create residual batches and we use green packaging and shipping.

IMPACT

As a social enterprise, we operate from our impact goals that we have linked to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Our founders story in a nutshell

Clary Scheres (44), director of ProudBreast, is an impact entrepreneur and designer at heart. Together with product designer and experience expert Suzanne Kemps (48), she founded ProudBreast; an impact platform for women with one or no breasts. A unique combination of community, product development and sales.

In 2019 they launched the Qup, the first external breast prosthesis that has been developed entirely from comfort. The impact is enormous. Meanwhile, the Qup has positively changed the lives of more than 13.000 women. The first four magazines have been published and participation in several Dutch Fairs was a great success. Investors have stepped in, making scale-up possible in the coming years and increasing the impact. Unfortunately, in the middle of it all, Suzanne passed away from metastatic breast cancer in 2021. Since 2020 Clary is solo director of ProudBreast, working with her right hand Ienke and an amazing team of volunteers, ambassadors and ‘new Suzannes’ to make it all happen.
